“Whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but he who makes his ways crooked will be found out” (v9). Those who walk in integrity – day by day making private and public choices that reflect the values of God’s kingdom – still face trouble, but they have a secure foundation. They are working for long-term peace (v5), not short-term pleasure or comfort. They can endure the storm of the moment because they are “established forever” (v25) in the love and protection of God.
Because we have hope that brings us joy (v28) and sustains us through difficulty, we have the courage to obey God today.
