II Thessalonians 2-3

“Do not grow weary in doing good” (3:13).  It’s easy to “grow weary” in life if we think that everything is on our shoulders.  Paul assured the believers that “the Lord is faithful. He will establish you and guard you against the evil one” (v3). Not only that, but as we stay rooted in a relationship with Christ, our lives bear good fruit.  “And we have confidence in the Lord about you, that you are doing and will do the things that we command” (v4).

“May the Lord direct your hearts to the love of God and to the steadfastness of Christ” (v5).  Focusing too much on ourselves can be exhausting; Christ Himself is our rest and peace.
