“In wisdom have you made them all; the earth is full of your creatures …These all look to you, to give them their food in due season” (v24-27). The psalmist rejoiced in God, our wise and kind Provider. He “set the earth on its foundations” and arranged mountains, valleys, and springs so that “every beast in the field” is satisfied. He causes grass to grow for livestock and plants for man to cultivate (v14). Birds, lions, mountain goats and people go about their daily routines as part of God’s beautiful and orderly creation (v17-23).
“When you send forth your Spirit, they are created” (v30). Our lives are not accidents; we, and the whole universe, are beloved works of God.
