“If you seek it like silver and search for it as for hidden treasures, then you will understand the fear of the LORD and find the knowledge of God” (v4-5). The proverbs declare that God’s wisdom, the right path for our lives, is plainly available for those who want it with all their hearts. God is generous, and if we seek Him, “wisdom will come into your heart, and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul” (v10). In the same way, if we delight in sin, our lives will become more and more marked by it (v14).
“For the Lord gives wisdom … he is a shield to those who walk in integrity” (v6-7).
