“Who are you, Lord?' And he said to me, 'I am Jesus of Nazareth, whom you are persecuting’” (v8). Paul explained to the angry crowd in Jerusalem that he had zealously persecuted the Way before Jesus miraculously appeared to him. Paul immediately submitted to Jesus’ authority and allowed himself to be led, blind, to Damascus, and then he accepted God’s call to be a witness for Jesus to others (v10-14). Paul’s faith in Jesus expressed itself in total obedience.
“And now why do you wait?” (v16). Jesus is both Savior and Lord, and He calls us to full and eager obedience to his commands.
