Pastor Kevin Smith has served as Lead Pastor of Northland Cathedral since 2018.  Growing up on the Mission Field in Togo, Africa, Pastor Kevin has a heart for missions and has a vision of supporting Missionaries across the globe. After graduating from Assemblies of God Theological Seminary in Springfield, MO, Pastor Kevin and his wife, Taurina, have served in numerous leadership roles in various churches before being led to Northland Cathedral. 

Outside of their ministry together, Kevin and Taurina have a daughter, Luciana, who is equally smart and energetic. As a family, they enjoy spending time outdoors.

Taurina Smith serves alongside her husband, Kevin Smith; Lead Pastor, at Northland Cathedral, as Pastor of Ministry Development & NC Women

Raised in Wyoming, Taurina, received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Physical Education and a Master’s of Divinity degree from the Assemblies of God Seminary. She is currently working toward her Doctorate through AGTS.

Taurina and Kevin has been in ministry together for over 18 years, serving in numerous capacities including Children, Youth, College Students, and Women’s Ministries. Presently, Taurina oversees NC Women and Ministry Development. As the leader of NC Women, she’s able to use her passion for helping women authentically connect with God and build deep relationships with each other.

Pastor Ron Steen has been part of the Northland Cathedral family since 1977 and has served on staff since 1977. Originally from Greenville, TX, he and his wife Cindy have 1 daughter.

Pastor Ron studied music at Stephen F Austin State University as well as The Conservatory of Music at University of Missouri Kansas City.

In his free time, he enjoys serving the community of Northland Cathedral.

Pastor Garet Arnold has been part of our Northland Cathedral Pastoral staff since 2019. Raised in Maryville, MO, Pastor Garet and his wife, Emma, have twin boys, Bear and Maverick.

Pastor Garet attended college at Evangel University and Assemblies of God Theological Seminary in Springfield, MO.

In his free time, he enjoys quality time with his family.

Homer Vanzant has attended Northland Cathedral for 33 years and has served on staff since 2018.

Raised in Portales, New Mexico, he and his wife, Mandy, have 2 children. Homer attended Southwestern Assemblies of God College and Eastern New Mexico University.

In his free time, he enjoys being with family and working around the house.

Pastor Marylon Courtney has been part of Northland Cathedral since 2008, and a member of our Pastoral Staff since 2010.

Raised on a farm south of Albany, MO, she and her husband, Bob, have 2 children, 5 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren. She attended Berean College and Global University.

In her free time, she enjoys playing with her grandkids, having lunch with her daughters-in-law and spending time with her family.
