“But I will tell you what is inscribed in the book of truth …” (10:21). Overwhelmed by visions of the future, Daniel was touched and strengthened by a heavenly being, who called Daniel “O man greatly loved” (10:19). “The book of truth” warned God’s people that empires and leaders would arise who would “magnify” themselves above all else and defy God (11:37). But those who trust God will “shine like the brightness of the sky above; and those who turn many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever” (12:3).

“Fear not, peace be with you, be strong and of good courage” (10:19). World conflicts continue, but Jesus is Light in the darkness. With Him, there is nothing to fear.
